A series of free public lectures on Kerry’s maritime heritage takes place in Dingle this weekend.
The Maritime Festival held at Dingle Oceanworld will see lectures on Brexit and the impact on the fishing industry along with historical lectures on the Lusitania and Kerry’s shipwrecks.
100 years of Valentia Radio will also be celebrated along with an explanation of the INFOMAR mapping of the Kerry sea-bed.
There will also be a Coast Guard helicopter and rescue display in Dingle today at 4pm.
