Management and unions representing Luas workers are locked in talks at the Workplace Relations Commission this evening.
They’ve been continuing since first thing this morning – however drivers who make up 170 of the company’s 250 staff remain outside the process.
A source close to Transdev – the company that runs Luas – says they remain optimistic a resolution can be reached today.
The firm has already announced its buying in bus services in a bid to deal with strike for St Patrick’s Day.
Several days of action are planned for later this month and April.
