A man who was rescued from the sea in west Cork on Sunday afternoon by Derrynane Inshore Rescue is urging fishermen to use life jackets.

Colm Plunkett from Offaly was fishing on the rocks near Dursey Island with his daughter when a rogue wave rolled in and swept him out to sea.
The current was too strong for him to return to shore and he credits wearing his life jacket with helping him survive.
Colm, who spent almost an hour in the water, says he owes his life to his 16 year old daughter Orlaith who raised the alarm with emergency services and remained calm:
