Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a fatal shooting in Dublin this afternoon, and say the gunman got away on a bicycle.

At 12.30, a young man who was at the junction of Oriel and Sheriff St was approached by a lone gunman who shot him up to six times.

The victim hasn’t been formally identified, and gardai say it may have been a case of mistaken identity.

Detectives won’t confirm, but it’s feared this is the latest in a string of shootings linked to the Hutch-Kinahan feud.
