« BackMan accused of raping woman in Kerry is remanded in custody

Tralee courthouseA man charged with allegedly raping a woman in Kerry has been remanded in custody for two weeks.

The man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is also facing counts of attempted rape and burglary on a date in September 2015.

It is alleged the accused broke into the woman’s home, where she lived alone, raped her and stole 500 euro.

Judge James O’Connor remanded the man in custody by consent to allow time for the book of evidence to be completed.

The man is due back before Tralee District Court on October 26th next.
