« BackMakers of Star Wars thank people of Dingle Peninsula for their welcome, enthusiasm and support

The makers of Star Wars have thanked the people of West Kerry for their “welcome, enthusiasm and support”.

star wars44LucasFilm and the cast and crew of the eighth instalment of Star Wars took out a full page advert – in the latest edition of The Kerryman – to extend their thanks following the recent shoot at Ceann Sibéal and Dún Chaoin.

The advert says they were “captivated by the landscape” of the Wild Atlantic Way, which provided “a spectacular backdrop”.

LucasFilm went on the state “the enthusiasm and support of all the people of the Dingle Peninsula and Kerry” made their “Irish adventure” one they would always treasure,

They also paid tribute to the “tireless commitment” of the Irish crew before signing off as Gaeilge with ‘go mbeidh an fórsa leat’ – may the force be with you.
