Listowel has been named Ireland’s Tidiest Small Town.

They’ve taking the accolade for the second year in a row.

This was announced at the Tidy Towns ceremony, which is underway in The Helix in Dublin now.

As well as Listowel’s accolade, a number of Kerry towns have won Gold – Killarney, Tralee, Kenmare, and Sneem.

Portmagee and Knightstown have been awarded bronze medals.

Skerries has been named as Ireland’s Tidiest town for 2016.

Other winners include Birdhill in Tipperary which claimed the award of Ireland’s Tidiest Village, and Ennis in Co Clare was declared as Ireland’s Tidiest Large Urban Centre.
