A Listowel GP has described another cancellation of a pre-booked ambulance to transport one of his patients as “extraordinary”.
Last Wednesday, an intermediate ambulance, which had been booked three weeks in advance, due to take 81 year old Jim Scanlon to the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Dún Laoghaire was cancelled at short notice. It’s the third occasion this has happened to the man in recent months who is paraplegic after an accident last year.
