A Lispole family is to raffle a 5-star Belgian Blue in-calf heifer to raise much needed funds for Kerry Hospice.
Gerard Ashe and daughters Geraldine, Gráinne and Deirdre from Glenminard launched the initiative after losing wife and mother Cáit Ashe who passed away on January 10th.
Cáit was diagnosed in 2012 and underwent several rounds of chemotherapy before beginning palliative care in 2014.
Geraldine says palliative care gave her mother a sense of peace, comfort and positivity.

The Belgian Blue in-calf heifer which will be auctioned at Dingle Mart on November 5th.
Raffle tickets will be on sale at shows around the county, beginning this Sunday at the West Kerry Agricultural Show, with all proceeds going to Kerry Hospice.
