Kerry Library LogoThe last session in a project introducing children to reading is being held in Tralee today.

Let’s Read Together is a Family Learning Programme organised by Kerry Library, and is part of a national initiative.

It started in June and ran over a six-weeks, and was aimed at pre-school children to give their parents the tools to support their child’s literacy development and help them prepare for school.

They met library staff once a week for an hour in St Brigid’s Family Resource Centre in Hawley Park.

The last session is being held in Tralee Library this lunchtime, and each child will receive a certificate of achievement.
