« BackLast month was the wettest January in Kerry since 1974

The least amount of sunshine and the highest level of rainfall was recorded in Kerry last month.
According to figures released by Met Éireann, January’s wettest days were the 1st, 5th and 9th with the most rainfall in a 24-hour period recorded at Valentia Observatory on January 26th with 37 milimetres.

Kerry also experienced the least amount of sunshine last month, with an average of just one-hour per day recorded at Valentia Observatory.
It was also the wettest January in the county since 1974.
