« BackLabour members to select one candidate for Kerry constituency

Labour Party members in Kerry will meet on Monday night next to choose a candidate for the forthcoming general election.

The selection convention for the Kerry constituency has been scheduled for Monday, October 19th.

Party headquarters has directed that one candidate – expected to be outgoing TD, Arthur Spring – be selected by the members.

Senator Marie Moloney – who contested the 2011 general election alongside Deputy Spring – has confirmed to Radio Kerry News that she will not be putting her name forward at the convention.
