A windfarm in Kerry has been sold to a renewable energy group, Gaelelectric.
The windfarm, called Cloghboola in Knocknagoshel in North Kerry, was sold for €60m.
The sale was completed using hybrid project financing secured through Nord/LB. It comprises of 16 turbines, and can generate power for almost 30,000 homes.
Gaelelectric said the acquisition brings its onshore portfolio of operating wind farms in Ireland towards the halfway point of its 2017 goal of 400MW of generating wind assets by 2017.
The company, which was founded in 2004, owns 13 wind-farms in Northern Ireland and nine in the Republic.
