Kerry’s star gazers are in for a real treat tonight.
The Perseid meteor shower will peak this evening in the Kingdom’s skies; 20 times more shooting stars than normal will streak across the night sky.
The best celestial show of the year will also be joined by the International Space Station, which will be visible around 10.30pm.
Everyone is urged to go out after dark and count how many meteors they see every 15 minutes for a national survey being conducted by Astronomy Ireland.
