A mother from Killorglin is calling for free detailed screening to be offered to every expectant woman at different stages of their pregnancy.
Jazmine Sands Sheehan was speaking after her daughter Isabella passed away from a congenital heart condition five days after her birth.
The condition had not been detected in prenatal scans.
Jazmine says had there been detailed screening she, her partner Kevin and their son could have prepared themselves for the worst.
She praised the staff at Crumlin Children’s Hospital for their care:
