Representatives from Sneem’s Parknasilla Resort & Spa have joined seven other Irish tourism companies in Florida this week, to take part in a sales blitz with Tourism Ireland.

Eight tourism companies from the island of Ireland travelled to Florida this week, to take part in a sales blitz with Tourism Ireland. First stop was the annual Global Travel Marketplace (GTM) in Fort Lauderdale. Then it was on to Sarasota, to take part in Tourism Ireland’s ‘Jump into Ireland’ event, where the Irish tourism operators had the opportunity to meet, and do business with top-producing travel agents and influential travel journalists. Parknasilla will be represented at the Global Travel Marketplace (GTM) in Fort Lauderdale – a three-day, appointment-only event targeting influential travel advisors from North America.

 

They will also travel to Sarasota, which is also in Florida, to take part in Tourism Ireland’s ‘Jump into Ireland’ event, where the Irish tourism operators have the opportunity do business with some 50 top-producing travel agents.

 

According to Tourism Ireland’s North America representative Alison Metcalfe this year looks set to become another record-breaking year for Irish tourism from the United States.

 

The latest CSO figures showing visitor numbers from North America to Ireland is up 15% between January and June.
