The hotel – situated approximately 2km from Killarney town centre – is being sold on behalf of the Browne family.
The property dates back to the 17th century and was formerly the residence of the Earls of Pembroke.
The Pembroke brothers came to Killarney in 1656 – one brother was given the Muckross Estate, the other the Currens and Cahernane.
According to selling agents CBRE & Tom Spillane & Co, the 38-bedroom hotel is expected to fetch a price in excess of €3million.
