A Killarney woman has called for better monitoring of Aghadoe graveyard, after items placed on her parents’ grave, were stolen twice in recent weeks.
Mary Redpath-Healy from Faha, twice during the summer placed flower arrangements, stored on a heavy base, on her parents’ grave. However, on both occasions, the display was stolen. She says this was just one of a number of issues that have arisen at the cemetery – including persistent dog fouling, footprints on graves, and the gate to the graveyard being left open. Issues of concern to families of people buried in Aghadoe, were raised at Kerry County Council this week by Cllr Niall Kelliher, with council staff promising to take action.
