Killarney has maintained its Top Ten status in the IBAL litter survey.
The survey, carried out by Irish Business Against Litter, shows Killarney marked 9th on the list of 40 towns and cities in Ireland, with Kilkenny once again the cleanest area in Ireland.
An Taisce, which carried out the survey, says Killarney has been one of the top performing towns in the survey for a number of years.
Tralee was not surveyed this year.
Nationally, the study shows that rubbish is largely limited to neglected city areas, with Farranree in Cork classified as a litter blackspot.
It shows sweet papers as the most common form of litter on our streets, followed by fast food wrappers, cigarette butts and chewing gum.
