Killarney gardaí are seeking the public’s help after a man approached two teenage girls.
It’s alleged the man made the approaches in Barraduff on Sunday afternoon.
Two girls, in their mid teens, were walking in Doyle’s Cross in Barraduff on Sunday afternoon when they were allegedly approached by a man.
They say the man, described as being in his fifties, was seated alone in a wine-coloured hatchback, in the style of a Ford Fiesta.
It’s alleged the man beckoned to the girls to approach the vehicle.
The teenagers ignored this; a while later, one of the girls left Doyle’s Cross.
It’s alleged the man, who was in the driver’s seat of the car, twice gestured at the remaining girl to approach him but she ignored him.
The man then drove away towards Killarney.
The girl was collected by her mother and reported the suspicious behaviour.
Killarney gardaí say the time period was between 3.45 and 4.05 on Sunday afternoon last.
They are looking for the public’s help to establish whether it was an innocent misunderstanding or whether the man’s alleged behaviour warrants further investigation.
