« BackKillarney councillor says any future halting site plans should include other parts of Kerry

A Killarney councillor says if there are plans to provide more halting sites in the county, other parts of Kerry should be included.

Cllr Brendan Cronin at Brennan's Glen Halting Site There are four permanent halting sites to serve the Traveller community in Kerry – two in Killarney and two in Tralee.

There’s also an emergency site in Brennan’s Glen which is in the Killarney Municipal District.

Cllr Brendan Cronin has called for the permanent closure of this facility, which he says is unsuitable and unsafe for occupants.

The Killarney councillor says if there are any plans in the future to provide more halting sites in Kerry, then other areas should be looked at.

There are no such proposals at present.
