« BackKilderry Road Improvement Scheme contractor to be appointed next year

KCC logoKerry County Council says a detailed design and construction contract document should be finalised by the end of the year for a mid-Kerry road improvement scheme.

The council was responding to a question from Cllr Michael Cahill.

The Kilderry Bends Realignment Project will cost almost 9.9 million euro and construction is expected to take 12 months.

The local authority says negotiations are ongoing with the 25 affected landowners and it hopes to have a contractor in place in early 2017.
The Kilderry Bends on the N70 between Killorglin and Milltown was named in the top 50 most dangerous bends in the country by the National Roads Authority.
