A Kerry TD says families of Annascaul students are happy with the new offer made to them by Bus Eireann in a controversy over access to school bus transport.
This year, a lottery system was used to determine which Annascaul students would get seats on the bus to secondary school in Tralee as there were more pupils than seats available.
Seventeen students lost out in the lottery and had to pay the full fare on the public bus service.
Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin had put forward a proposal that weekly tickets would only be 10 euro as opposed to the original price of 32 euro.
However, Bus Eireann dismissed this price and a compromise of 15 euro has been agreed, after Deputy Griffin spoke with families.
