Eligibility criteria for participation in Community Employment scheme are far too restrictive.
That’s according to Kerry Fine Gael TD Brendan Griffin who wants people aged over 62 and under 21 to be able to take part in schemes.
Deputy Griffin, who’s calling for other changes to make it easier for people to qualify, says he and Kerry’s other TDs met recently on the issue.
Brendan Griffin says people on CE schemes are making a difference in their communities, including working with Tidy Towns groups and helping the disadvantaged.
