Cuts to home help hours in Kerry must be reversed according to one of the TDs who attended a meeting of local home help workers in Castleisland at the weekend.
55 home helps met with political representatives to highlight what they say are unsustainable changes to the hours available to their clients.
The meeting was attended by Deputies Tom Fleming and Michael Healy-Rae as well as Cllrs John Joe Culloty and Brendan Cronin.
Deputy Michael Healy-Rae said there is a strong demand for the reinstatement of hours which were taken away.
He said providing a half hour of home help to someone who is incapacitated is ‘ridiculous.’
