A Kerry TD is calling on management at a factory to clarify whether it has closed.
Two weeks ago, Kenmare Select announced it was to cease trading with immediate effect.
The company, which specialises in smoked salmon and other fish products, employed more than 20 full-time and 40 part-time and seasonal workers.
Kenmare Select says the closure was due to the high cost of fish
However, Deputy Michael Healy-Rae says staff have been getting conflicting reports over the company’s future.
Radio Kerry has contacted Kenmare Select for a statement.
Speaking last evening, Deputy Healy-Rae said workers remain in the dark as to their future and the future of Kenmare Select.
