A Kerry TD is calling for more consultation with fishermen regarding a new EU catch policy.
The plan, which means all fish caught must be landed by fishermen, is due to come into force in January.
However, fishing organisations have branded the policy a “mess” saying nobody knows how it will work and it will lead to chaos.
They also claim the rules will not apply in the same way in other countries.
