« BackKerry Sinn Fein councillor ‘baffled’ by calls for Adams to step down

Toiréasa Ferris. 1A Kerry Sinn Fein Councillor says she is totally ‘baffled’ by comments made by the chairman of the Cavan Sinn Fein Cumann who has said that their party president Gerry Adams should step down as leader.

Thomas Anthony McNulty who is the party’s Virginia Mullagh branch chairman in Co. Cavan said that it is time for Gerry Adams to step aside and give a younger, more dynamic person a chance.

Mr McNulty also said that Mr Adams was now hindering the party’s electoral expansion in the south.

However, Cllr Toiréasa Ferris says she is more than happy with Gerry Adams leadership and disagrees with the Cavan Cumman chairman:
