Kerry Senator Ned O’Sullivan says if he’s offered a free tablet computer, he’ll accept it.
Earlier this year, the Oireachtas Commission approved a plan to buy the devices for members of the Dáil and Seanad.
The commission says the purchasing of the devices is aimed at reducing the annual cost of parliamentary printing.
Members of the Dáil and Seanad are free to refuse the tablets which are due to be delivered in time for Christmas.
