« BackKerry senator calls for special post-Brexit arrangement between Ireland the UK

Senator Paul Coghlan

The Irish and British Governments should come to a special arrangement on Northern Ireland post-Brexit.

That’s according to Kerry Senator and Leas-Cathaoirleach of the Seanad, Paul Coghlan.

Speaking in the Seanad, Senator Coghlan there are over 300 crossings on the border and it would be “virtually impossible to police all of these crossings”.

He said the introduction of a hard border would damage strides made under the Good Friday Agreement and under no circumstances should Britain’s exit from the EU adversely impact the relationship between North and South.
