The advice from the Road Safety Authority follows a yellow weather warning from Met Éireann, which says between 25 and 35 millimetres of rain could fall in Kerry up until 3pm today.

This could lead to spot flooding here and in Cork, Limerick, Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford and Wicklow.

All road users are being urged to take care in the heavy rainfall.
