« BackKerry PNA members welcome settling of dispute with the HSE

Members of the Psychiatric Nurses Association in Kerry have welcomed the settling of a dispute with the HSE, which was agreed yesterday evening at the Workplace Relations Commission.

The dispute, over the recruitment and retention of psychiatric nurses, started six weeks ago and was due to escalate into industrial action this morning.

A statement released by the PNA in Kerry, said that while the action will not now go ahead, mental health day facilities in Rathmore and Kenmare will remain closed today, but will return to normal service from tomorrow.

PNA members in Kerry say they’re happy with the outcome of the dispute and are glad mental health services in the county have returned to normal.
