Kerry has strong voices in Government and people needn’t worry the county lacks representation at Cabinet level.
That’s according to Minister for Regional Development, Rural Affairs, Arts and the Gaeltacht Heather Humphreys who was responding to Kerry not having a senior or junior minister in the current administration.
Minister Humphreys said the government was making sure Kerry was showcased as a “tremendous example for the film industry” with Star Wars filming here.
She described her Fine Gael party colleague Deputy Brendan Griffin, who was overlooked in Enda Kenny’s junior ministry appointments, as “very hard working”.
Minister Humphreys added she thinks Kerry needn’t worry about being represented at Cabinet level, on account of the “strong voices” of Deputy Griffin, the Healy-Raes and other Kerry deputies:
