« BackKerry MEP says Air passenger data swap will boost anti-terrorism measures

MEP Seán Kelly is urging EU institutions to progress plans to legislate for the sharing of air travel information and passenger data between EU countries to aid anti-terrorism measures.

He is urging the EU to legislate so that an agreement can be reached this autumn.
He says the groundwork has been done at European Parliament level to allow EU institutions to earnestly begin negotiating an EU Airline Passenger Name Records system.
Mr Kelly says an effective passenger name record system will make Europe safer by enabling authorities to monitor all flights.
