Kerry Library’s collection of toys for children with complex needs has been nominated for a national award.
The Kerry Library Toys and Sensory Resources Collection has been shortlisted in the Best Practice in a Disability Services Provision category in the Chambers Ireland Excellence in Local Government Awards.
The service is based in Castleisland Library and was set up last year.
It provides a specialist support for children of complex needs through a range of toys and sensory resources that can be borrowed though the library system countywide.
The awards ceremony takes place in Dublin on the 24th of November.
