A Kerry Labour TD doesn’t support an early General Election.
Speculation is rife that the Government may go to the polls in November after delivering its final budget next week.
However, Kerry North West Limerick Deputy Arthur Spring says there is an agreement between Fine Gael and Labour that the election will be held in the spring and an early poll would break trust between the coalition partners.
Deputy Spring is warning that he will advise Kerry Labour party members not to support a future coalition with Fine Gael if they break the deal.
He says he is not fearful of facing a November poll but hopeful that people will see the reason that Labour went into Government and feel the benefits of Budget 2016 first:
