The Kerry Branch of the Irish Farmers Association and Birdwatch Ireland are urging the Government to make a decision on hedge cutting and burning.
Last year Minister Heather Humphreys announced a review of Section 40 of the Wildlife Act which limits these activities to certain time periods.
This followed a 700 per cent increase in illegal fires in Kerry last April.
Submissions from the IFA and Birdwatch Ireland were received by last January and a taskforce was set up in June.
However, no decision has yet been made by Minister Humphreys.
Chair of Kerry IFA Sean Brosnan believes the Minister doesn’t want to decide on the matter:
