Kerry has the second highest rate of suicide in Ireland according to the latest figures by the National Office for Suicide Prevention.
The highest rate between 2011 and 2013 was in Limerick City where there were 21.1 deaths per 100,000 population, almost twice the national average of 11.4 deaths per 100,000.
The rate in Kerry for the period was 19.7 deaths, followed by Wexford at 19.4 deaths and Cork City with 16 deaths.
The annual number of deaths by suicide in Ireland peaked in 2011 at 554.
On average, males account for four out of five deaths by suicide.
