« BackKerry has the lowest vacant commercial property rate in the country

Kerry has the lowest commercial vacancy rate in Ireland at just over nine percent.

This is  well below the national average of 12.6 per cent according to GeoDirectory, which compiles the database for Irish addresses.

The national commercial vacancy rate for the second quarter of 2015 is over three per cent higher than the rate for Kerry.

This means there were 0.2 per cent fewer vacant commercial properties in the country than there were in the last quarter of 2014.

The latest figures from GeoDirectory also indicate good news for Kerry, which once again had the lowest vacancy rate at the end of June.

Sligo had the highest number of vacant commercial properties at 6.8 per cent.

There was a total of 6,902 commercial properties in Kerry in the second quarter of 2015.

The findings show that of the 224,168 commercial address recorded in the State, 28,343 are vacant.

Kerry has consistently had a low vacancy rate and this is reflected again in this report, with a rate of 9.30 per cent.
