Kerry has the second lowest average farm income in Munster.
That’s according to a new report from the Revenue Commissioners.
The statistics relate to 2014 when the average farm income in Kerry was €20,851.
That has risen by over three per cent compared to 2013 when the average income for farmers in the county was €20,172.
The average income in Kerry before tax in 2014 was €42,245.
The data shows Kerry has the second lowest average farm income in Munster; Clare has the lowest at €16,616.
The national average farm income for the year was €23,155.
Waterford had the highest average income at €38,115 followed by Dublin and Kilkenny.
