Kerry has one of the lowest vacancy rates for jobs in the country according to Jobs Index prepared by recruitment company IrishJobs.ie.
The index shows a 7% increase in the number of vacancies nationwide when compared to the same period last year.
The highest recorded vacancy rates were in Limerick and Dublin at over 4% each.
The corresponding figure for Kerry is 1.87%.
The vacancy rate is calculated as the number of vacancies in a location divided by employment in that location.
Nationally the largest increases in jobs being advertised were in the areas of environment, health, and safety but there were also increases in beauty, haircare, leisure and sports.
