« BackKerry farmers asked to take action to make farms safer

The IFA in Kerry is asking farm families to take action to make their farm a safer place to live and work.
Today is National Farm Safety Awareness Day.

So far this year there has been one farm death in Kerry, last year there were over 30 farm deaths nationally.
Bernadette O’Driscoll from Valentia is County Chair of the Farm Family Committee in Kerry.
She says they are asking farmers to take time out to review Farm Safety Risk Assessment and to put in place control measures to reduce the risk of accidents.
