« BackKerry county councillor praises efforts of young heroes in Kenmare

A Kerry county councillor has praised the heroic efforts of two young girls.


Councillor Dan McCarthy was speaking after an incident in Inchimore, Kenmare where a 13-year-old boy was rescued from underneath a collapsed sand bank.




The two girls, aged seven and eleven, raised the alarm after the accident.


Councillor McCarthy says the youngsters showed great composure under pressure, while the rapid response of the emergency services was magnificent.
