« BackKerry County Council warn of high levels of surface water around the county

Orange weather warnings remain in place for Kerry with up to 50 millimetres of rain expected to fall today.

The worst affected areas are expected to be in Kerry, Clare and Cork.

Gardai are warning motorists to exercise caution on all routes throughout the county with surface water on all roads. High winds may also cause structural damage.

Kerry County Council is advising of surface water at the Dan Tims side of the viaduct at Gleask, Kells.

There are also reports of flooding at Barna Gaoithe, Kilcummin and at the graveyard in Ballyseedy.

Ger O Brien from Kerry County Council says there are large amounts of surface water around the county.

Kerry Airport says all its flights are operating to schedule at this time, as is the Shannon Ferries service from Tarbert to Killimer.
