« BackKerry County Council and Gardaí continue to urge caution on roads

Gardaí and Kerry County Council are continuing to advise caution on the county’s roads following heavy rainfall throughout yesterday.

Gardaí in Listowel say grass verges have been damaged on roads in the Asdee and Ballylongford areas and motorists should drive carefully in the area.

The Camp Junction Vintage Rally to be held tomorrow is cancelled due to the bad weather. The South Kerry Ploughing Championships and Harvest Show, due to take place at Fossa, Killarney this Sunday, has fallen victim to the weather as well. Organisers have taken the decision to postpone the event due to the relentless downpour on Friday. The event has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 27.
