A Kerry Coroner says the older generation need more help when it comes to mental health.
Coroner Terence Casey presided over this week’s inquests in Killarney, which returned verdicts of suicide in four cases.
Three of the four were in their fifties, with the fourth being a man in his eighties.
Coroner Casey says, with the older generation, cases of isolation and loneliness become a bigger factor due to the lack of help.
He adds the issue of suicide needs to be treated like the RSA treat road safety.
