It’s official – Kerry is in the middle of a heatwave.
Temperatures across the county will soar this week, with thermometers set to reach beyond 20C as a period of high pressure sweeps across Ireland.
According to Met Eireann, the sunburn index for the week is high, and people are being warned to cover up in the increasing heat.
The good weather is expected to last until the beginning of next week, and comes in contrast to stormy conditions reported across Europe.
Metrologist with Met Eireann, John Eagleton, says it’s set to be one of the best weeks of the year so far
