A Kerry CEO says there needs to be greater governance of corporate funding.
Eamonn O’Reilly of North, East and West Kerry Development says it is gut wrenching to see monies raised for charities being misused.
He says, within his own company, there are seven layers of financial checks and an external audit to ensure proper governance of funds.
On the issue of LEADER funding, Mr O’Reilly believes rural counties are at a disadvantage due to cutbacks in recent years.
He adds the regional imbalance needs to rectified.
