« BackKerry beach features on stamp quartet that celebrates Atlantic trail

Block of 4 WAW (1)Images of Kerry will soon be winging their way across the globe thanks to a colourful quartet of stamps produced by An Post.

The stamps are to celebrate the Wild Altantic Way and will feature surfing from one of Kerry’s most famous beaches at Inch, as well as scenes from horse riding at Grange, Co. Sligo, Fly Fishing at Glenbeg Lough in Co. Cork, and cycling on the Aran Islands in Co. Galway.

The stamps feature two domestic (72c) and two international (€1.10) stamps, also a First day Cover (FDC) featuring the route of the trail and a prestige booklet.
In a hi-tech twist each stamp features augmented reality technology and when scanned using a smartphone or tablet with the CEE App installed, allows the user to access additional material on the Wild Atlantic way.

The stamps are available at main post offices, and online at www.irishstamps.ie.
