A Kerry archaeologist has been at the centre of investigations into the discovery of 1,000 year-old remains in County Sligo.

It’s believed the young man suffered a violent death in an incident which has been dated to 1,000 years ago.

Dr Dowd, who works with Sligo-Leitrim Archaeological Services explains how they knew the man had died in brutal circumstances:
